Being the White-Blues trainee Mykhailychenko made his debut for the first team at the age of 19. He was one of the key performers of the “golden” team of Valeriy Lobanovskyi.
Mykhailychenko is one of the most titled Dynamo players. After transfer from Kyiv is 1990 he continued collecting trophies in Europe.
As a coach Mykhailychenko won the Ukrainian league with Dynamo in 2003 and 2004, became the Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup holder.
