Tuesday morning was the time for the MU delegation (headed by the team’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson) to attend the Dynamo infrastructure. The first on the list appeared Dynamo Koncha Zaspa Training Center. Dynamo Director General Rezo Chokhonelidze was guiding our English guests.
- Does it make sense to invite the opponent’s delegation and let them see our training ground on the match day?
- I do not see anything wrong with this, was the confident reply from Rezo Chokhonelidze. We always welcome foreign visitors from whatever country of the world they are. It can not but flatter that one of the world’s remarkable coaches evinced an interest to see our infrastructure.
Sir Alex was particularly impressed with the pitch and was curious to ask if it is a regular size one. “Your training center has produced some good impressions on me. I even started thinking of building something of the kind in Manchester”.
Next, the delegation moved on to see the Valeriy Lobanovskyy Youth Academy.
Well, two weeks hence, it will be Dynamo’s turn to get to know the mancunian infrastructure. In the meantime, we are all looking forward to the tonight’s Champions League encounter between the two teams.
