Andriy YARMOLENKO: “I’m really glad we’ve won”

After the game he stated:

- It was a difficult match and I’m glad I’ve scored. The game wasn’t easy for us at all. That happens. Several days ago we opposed Chelsea FC and I guess this time we lacked emotions. Anyway I’m really glad we’ve won.

- It took you about a month to score. How difficult was this period from the psychological point of view?

- Of course it was a challenge for me, but I knew I had to keep working.

- Late in the game it seemed you were killing the clock. Was that a response to what Stal players did?

- To be honest I fell down deliberately as Stall started killing the clock in the first half. That’s not very nice. We wanted to play football. Maybe in some episodes someone was really hurt, but mostly they were just lying on the pitch. So, that was my response.

- Both matches against Stal were difficult for Dynamo this season. Is that because all of their players just defended?
-
Yes, they defend orderly. Each defender and supporting midfielder has a player he follows. It’s good we struggled till the final whistle and scored.

- Danilo Silva missed the second match in a row after the birth of his son. Isn’t that too much for celebrations?

- You should ask the coach about that. He was getting ready for this game with the rest of the team, but before the match he was told he’s not on players’ list. Anyway I don’t think someone’s offended.

- What’s wrong with your leg?

- In the first half of the match against Chelsea I picked up insignificant injury. After that my leg hurt a bit. Still today I was really willing to take the field and score. Now it really hurts, so I guess I should have rest for several days. Anyway I hope I’ll be able to feature for the national team in the next game.
