Andriy YARMOLENKO: “Everything went off course”

- We had nothing to lose in the second half as the score was 0:2. There was full house at the stadium and we had to redeem ourselves. Second half was better than first, but unfortunately we conceded the third goal.

- Dynamo had scoring chances. What did the team lack to use them?

- We attacked as we could, but we had to remember about defense too. When we lost the ball City had dangerous counterattacks. They have such fast players as Aguero and Sterling. We must analyze the game and move forward.

- Yaya Toure was invincible in head-playing…

- He’s about 2 m high, so it’s difficult to oppose him.

- Have you talked to Denys Harmash about his substitution?
- I think after the first half each player deserved being substituted. You’d better ask coaches about that.

- Did you analyze mistakes after the first half?

- First of all coaches calmed us down as everyone was upset. It took us a month to get ready for the game, but everything went off course.

- Did you feel it’s possible to oppose Manchester City?

- They let opponents play, but they play very well too. It’s difficult to dispossess them.

- How difficult was the game from physical point of view?

- I can’t say it was too difficult, but we’ve just finished the training camp. It’s difficult to start the season opposing such team as City.

- Are you totally ready to play for 90 minutes?

- If I weren’t I wouldn’t have taken the field. Coaches decided I should be in the starting lineup. I did my best on the pitch.

- Do you hope to succeed in Manchester?

- We must be realists: 1:3 home defeat is really bad result. In Manchester we’ll try to play the way coaches want us to.
