- Andriy, the game changed rapidly after the score became 1:1. Did the goal you conceded influence the team that much?
- The first half was better as we attacked. After the break we got tired as focused mostly on defense. Of course the second half wasn’t good for us. Still nothing horrible has happened. We still have the return match in Kyiv.
- Serhiy Rebrov has stated that his players have fulfilled the game plan… Does it mean Everton have surprised you in some way?
- We knew that Everton are good team and that the game would be difficult. After the break we only defended and unleashed just a couple of shots on goal. Eventually we conceded… Anyway 2:1 isn’t a bad score. The situation was the same as we faced Guingamp. One goal in Kyiv will change everything. I hope a lot of fans will come to the stadium and support us.
- Serhiy Rebrov has mentioned that English teams always fight till the final whistle. Is that what you didn’t do?
- They have really strong players, such as Lukaku. It’s difficult to oppose him.
- Maybe you should have fouled against Lukaku before the first goal Everton scored?
- It’s easy to say like that after the game. On the field it seems that you can dispossess the opponent without foul, besides English teams use set pieces very effectively. We didn’t want to give them such an opportunity.
- There were a lot of Dynamo fans at the stadium. Did you feel their support?
- Sure, I want to thank them for coming. Moreover, they even came to our hotel before the game. We felt their support.
- Won’t the NSC Olimpiyskyi turf quality prevent you from winning the return match?
- I’ve read the interview of the NSC Olimpiyskyi agronomists. He says that it will take two weeks to restore the pitch. He should come to England and talk to local specialists. They play several games a week here and the turf is perfect.
