Andriy YARMOLENKO: “It will be all in our hands as we face Everton in Kyiv”

- Andriy, the game against Illichivets can be divided into two parts – before the first goal and after it. Was it difficult at first?

- It’s always difficult to play against teams that mostly focus on defense. Still usually they oppose till the first goal.

- You are the UPL strikers’ competition leader with 11 goals at the moment. It must be a dream for everyone to win this race…

- Of course it’s great to score, but first of all I want Dynamo to win the title. I want a golden medal.

- Are personal achievements meaningless to you?

- Frankly speaking it’s a pleasure to be the leader among strikers, but what gladdens me the most is that we are the UPL leaders at the moment.

- Are you okay with such a tight schedule? How did you feel after the game in England?

- Such schedule is ideal for me. My body reconditions and I play football to gladden people, which is great. I feel fine.

- Your main opponents are lacking seven and eight points behind Dynamo. Is it a comfortable advantage?

- I can’t say it is. Anything is possible in football. If we lose we can face some psychological problems. That’s why we do our best in every match.

- Now you are focused on Europa League. Do you think your chances to outplay Everton are the same you had for triumph in battle against Guingamp after the first leg?

- Everton have proved that they are good team, but at the same time there’s nothing special about them. We are able to outplay English side. We’ve lost away, but 1:2 isn’t a catastrophic score. It will be all in our hands as we face Everton in Kyiv.

- Have you noticed any Everton weaknesses and what will be vital for positive result?

- Of course we’ve noticed Everton strengths and weaknesses. Anyway we’ll focus on our play first of all.
