Our team played six UPL fixtures.
The White-Blues won two of them (Metalist – 4:2, Vorskla – 2:1), lost two (Shakhtar – 0:2, Metalurh – 1:2) and played in a draw twice (Karpaty – 2:2, Chornomorets – 1:1).
The main event of the month was resignation of the head coach Oleh Blokhin and Serhiy Rebrov’s appointment as caretaker manager.
20 Dynamo performers took the field in April fixtures. Four of them didn’t skip a single match – Danilo Silva, Domagoj Vida, Denys Harmash and Jeremain Lens.
It should be reminded that only supporters choose FC Dynamo Kyiv best player each month.
3rd place. Vladyslav KALYTVYNTSEV (2435 votes)
Vladyslav Kalytvyntsev took part only in one April match. He made a substitute appearance as the White-Blues faced FC Metalurh Donetsk away. Still he managed to score his first goal for Dynamo and to impress supporters and journalists with his play.
By the way, the game against Metalurh was the first UPL match for Kalytvyntsev jr. this season.
2nd place. Yevhen MAKARENKO (3095 votes)
Another DynamoAcademy trainee can be already called the first team regular. Yevhen Makarenko is among top three performers of the month for the first time.
He took the field in five matches in April and skipped only the game against FC Metalurh Donetsk because of suspension.
Yevhen scored a very important goal against FC Chornomorets Odesa, which let Kyivans salvage a draw.
1st place. Andriy YARMOLENKO (8965 votes)
The White-Blues best player of the month is the vice-skipper Andriy Yarmolenko. He also was suspended as Kyivans faced FC Metalurh Donetsk, but took the field in five other matches.
Andriy netted two goals in April – against FC Metalist Kharkiv and against FC Vorskla Poltava. He also has two assists to his name.
Last time Yarmolenko became Dynamo best player of the month in May of 2013.
