Andriy YARMOLENKO: “We didn’t aim for a draw”

- Did this game resemble the one that took place in Kyiv?

- In some way it did. The first half was a failure for us as we almost didn’t attack. Chelsea made us defend. In the second half we controlled the ball better and created chances.

- When Dynamo scored the equalizer everyone thought the game would end in a draw. What happened next?

- We didn’t aim for a draw and decided to keep attacking. Still this is football. Things happen.

- In the first half Dynamo committed few fouls in front of the penalty area, but after the break there were some dangerous free kicks and one of them resulted in Chelsea goal. Did you pay attention to this aspect getting ready for the game?

- Sure. Coaches paid attention to the way Chelsea use set pieces. We tried not to foul, but today referee whistled almost each time Chelsea players fell down. Still it’s not an excuse.

- Did you feel Chelsea are like wounded beast?
-
Chelsea state of affairs shouldn’t interest us. We have our own aims and we must demonstrate football supporters like. We did that in the second half.

- Dynamo have never won in England yet. Is it some magic of English stadiums?

- It’s really difficult to player here as fans create serious psychological pressure and make home teams be very active and aggressive. In the first half there was some panic, we just defended.

- Now you must defeat Porto which Dynamo actually did once…

- If we want to get out of the group it’s necessary to win. We shouldn’t be afraid and we must just play football the way we did in the second half of the game against Chelsea.
