- You defeated FC Metalurh Donetsk last time by the score of 9:1. Will it influence the forthcoming match?
- It won’t. I’m sure that we are in for very difficult match. There won’t be so many goals scored this time.
- What can you say about Metalurh play in general?
- I know that they control the ball really well. It’s been a long time since we defeated Metalurh in Donetsk. I hope this time we’ll earn three points.
- Who’ll win the UPL this season in your opinion?
- (Smiling). Frankly speaking I don’t care. I guess FC Shakhtar Donetsk. I wish that were Dynamo, but it won’t happen this season.
- What changes in tactics has the new coach already made?
- Actually Serhiy Rebrov isn’t the new coach for us. We’ve been working with him for quite a long period of time.
Anyway we started training a bit differently at the winter training camp when we got the new tactics coach Raul. As for me, our tactical skills improved after the winter break. I think we played well against Chornomorets, but just didn’t manage to win.
- Dynamo play a lot of matches. How do you manage to recondition?
- We have very good medical staff. It’s necessary to do what they tell us to. I think it’s absolutely normal to play twice a week.
- You and Makarenko will skip the game against Metalurh because of suspension. How will the team play without you in Donetsk?
- We have two equal squads and I’m sure the coach can substitute anyone.
- Is the Ukrainian Cup your main aim at the moment?
- We never focus on one particular competition. We must win every match to gladden fans and ourselves.
- Can the Ukrainian Cup be a kind of compensation for bad season?
- Sure! Ukrainian Cup is our only chance to win a trophy this season and we’ll try to do that.
- What do you think of Darijo Srna?
- He is a very good player. I can give him only positive characteristics. As for his provocations… One should just avoid them.
