Artem Kravets as our Stuttgart colleagues see him

It is for your attention.

“Artem Kravets has now put his first week of training with his new team mates behind him. The Ukrainian is determined to prove himself with VfB in the Bundesliga.

It hasn’t been easy for Artem Kravets to crack a smile over the past few days: "I'm a bit tired," admitted the Ukrainian on Monday. The past seven days in Belek, with up to three training sessions within a 24-hour period – including countless sprints and tempo changing progression exercises or power sessions, as well as two friendly games – have drained the energy resources of the striker and his new colleagues.
But Artem Kravets is well aware that the "period of suffering" is part and parcel of a training camp, in order to achieve particular goals. "The Bundesliga is the best league in the world in my opinion. I want to prove myself there and help VfB to enjoy a good second half to the season," stated the winter signing. The seven days in the training camp is the only period of time the 26-year-old has had to spend with his new team mates: Integration into the team thus creates a partial target for the Ukrainian.

The next step
In order to drive his intentions forward, it is also important to the goal-getter to develop a good understanding with his fellow players. At his medical examination, the Ukrainian went on to discuss another partial target. "I want to learn German quickly," was his first statement, and after eight days he added: "I already understand some things, but pronunciation is difficult." Directions on the pitch such as "links, rechts" (left, right) are already as much a part of the routine as numbers. He is not only enjoying help from fellow players such as room-mate Boris Tashchy, but also from tutorials on YouTube.
Calmly, but determinedly, the front-man will begin working on his targets on the pitch. "I want to be ready when the second half of the season begins," insisted Artem Kravets. And then the striker’s smile returned. Upon the question as to why he will wear the number 23 shirt at VfB, he answered: "My favorite number is 22, but someone else already has that, so I selected the number 23 by way of showing that VfB is the next step for me”.
