Dynamo Austrian training camp. Day 2: theory and practice

Dynamo Austrian training camp. Day 2: theory and practice

As meteorologists forecasted, the weather was clear and extremely warm – up to 30 degrees above zero.

Concentration always and everywhere

This time Kyivans had two training session – in the morning and in the afternoon. The first one started at about 10 a.m. At first Raul Riancho gave a short speech. “Today we have a lot of work to do that demands concentration. So if someone feels he can’t train with maximal dedication he should tell about that”.

Of course all players were ready for work. The only one who trained individually was Domagoj Vida, who has microtrauma.

After warm-up the White-Blues worked with special equipment including bar-bells, weights, exercise balls etc.

After that Kyivans focused on modeling their defensive and attacking play. Performers were divided into two groups and worked separately. Newcomer Junior Moraes trained especially eagerly. Once he managed to score and also hit the woodwork.

Pleasant worries of newcomers

After lunch it was difficult to meet someone at the hotel as everyone was having rest. Only newcomers had what to do. They set for photos that will be used by our site, UEFA official site, NSC Olimpiyskyi display etc.

Heat in the air, heat on the field

After morning training sessions some performers stayed on the field to play ball, but Serhiy Rebrov warned that they should spare strengths for the afternoon that would be even more intense. Before practice the White-Blues had a really long theory class at the hotel which lasted about 45 minutes.

It was very hot, but the turf was of perfect quality. Active work started right after the bus with the team arrived. Serhiy Rebrov divided players into two groups to play handball in two squares.

As usually there were a lot of local kids around the field. This time two of them wore Dynamo shirts. As the training session started they set next to Rezo Chokhonelidze to follow it.

The aim of the first task was to keep the ball under control for as long as possible. When players had time to rest they just juggled the ball.

Ball control was the keynote of the training session, but not the only one. Other tactical exercises made our performers move a lot and think quickly. They were very complicated.

Probably the most difficult exercise included running in groups with time limits. At first Kyivans even outstripped their targets, but after the 20th effort no one was going to rush.

Players’ conditions could be followed in real-time mode due to Adidas miCoach Elite system.

The training session lasted about an hour and a half. Fortunately Interalpen hotel has whatever is necessary for reconditioning.
