- Benoit, there was information about your possible move to Kyiv early this summer…
- It’s really so, but such transfer is a very important decision and I wanted to get to know as much as possible about Dynamo. Then I discussed contract terms with Ihor Surkis. And now I am here.
- Was it difficult for you to leave Bordeaux as you are the trainee of this club?
- It was really difficult for me to leave the native club. Never the less I had a strong desire to win trophies with another team. It’s a new challenge for me.
- Last season your team managed to outplay Dynamo within the Europa League. Did you recall those games before signing the contract with Kyivans?
- I recalled those games and Kyiv magnificent stadium.
- Do you know any Dynamo players? Lukman Haruna, Brown Ideye, Younes Belhanda and Dieumerci Mbokani used to play in France, for example…
- I don’t know them personally. Still I faced Belhanda on the pitch many times.
- What do you know about your new head coach Oleh Blokhin?
- I know that he used to be an outstanding Soviet player. He is an idol of Ukrainian and world football.
- What is your favourite position on the pitch?
- I’m a left back, but I also played as center back and supporting midfielder.
- What is the name of your native city and what are your parents?
- I was born and grew up in Bordeaux. My parents work in the hospital. I also have a junior brother. He is 18.
- Were there professional football players among your relatives?
- My father and grandfather played football, so it’s our family tradition.
- What did native people tell about your move to another country?
- They have supported me and wished me good luck.
- What aims do you want to achieve with Dynamo?
- First of all I want to help Dynamo win as many trophies as possible. As for my personal aims – I would like to adapt to the new team as soon as possible.
