- Benjamin, judging by your Instagram, you’re in your native Celje. What are your plans for this short vacation?
- I came home without any plans as I got injured. I’ve already had medical examination and I’ll have another one on Monday in Munich. I’ve spent several days in Slovenia and supported the team in which I started my career. This season Celje won the league for the first time in their history.
- How serious is your injury? How long will it take you to recover?
- I still feel pain although I’m not training. I’ll know more on Monday after another medical examination.
- Being is Slovenia you found out about the appointment of Mircea Lucescu to the post of Dynamo head coach. Was this unexpected?
- I didn’t know about this variant at all. There were other names in the news. Of course I know about this specialist. I know he’s one of the best in the world in terms of the number of trophies. I’m glad I’ll be able to work under the charge of such coach. I think he’ll benefit our team in terms of tactics. I know he used to be a tough opponent for Dynamo. I think we’ll succeed together.
- Almost all Dynamo potential Champions League qualification opponents have been defined. Do you think you’ll reach your goal and qualify for the next stage?
- I think all teams we can face are decent, but these aren’t teams we can’t play toe-to-toe against. Of course we’ll do our best to qualify for the group stage. I really want to make my debut in the Champions League with Dynamo.
- Dynamo will have really tight schedule in autumn. Are you ready for that?
- The next season will be a bit unusual, but there’s nothing we can do about it. Our task is to demonstrate decent results in all competitions no matter what the circumstances are.
