- Betao, what did you feel signing new contract with Dynamo?
- I’m happy to return to Dynamo. I signed the contract three days ago in Kyiv. It will be valid till the end of the season, but I’m ready to feature for the White-Blues for a year or two.
- What will be your position on the field?
- I’m a versatile defender, so I can perform on both flanks and in the center. I’ll play wherever Raul Riancho and Serhiy Rebrov tell me to as I want to benefit the team.
- Dynamo have problems with position of left back even though many performers lay claims to it… Aren’t you afraid of competing?
- We’ll see where I’ll play. I’m not afraid of competing as I’m not a young performer already.
- What can you say about first training sessions? Were they hard for you?
- They weren’t. Serhiy Rebrov is right saying that we must work on all aspects instead of only running. Game exercises are also important.
- What did you do after you left Dynamo? You were the first team regular in Evian…
- That’s right. French league is interesting and the town where I lived is beautiful. I had a six-month contract with Evian. After that coaching staff wanted me to prolong it, but I needed some time to think everything over as I had offer from another team. Eventually I left for Brazil and played for Ponte Preta for half a year.
- You didn’t have a club for some time. What did you do to keep in shape?
- I worked individually with a coach in my native Sao Paulo. In the end of the year I joined Dynamo.
- Weren’t you afraid of going to Ukraine considering the situation in our country?
- I wasn’t as I followed the situation with a help of Internet. Today there are problems only in Donbas. Everything is fine in Kyiv.
- Did you follow Dynamo when you were in Brazil?
- Mostly I read about Dynamo in the Internet. Of course I see changes in the team, there are really good performers. Opponents are lacking at least five points behind Kyivans in the UPL and it’s great! If we keep working a lot everything will be okay.
- Do Dynamo fans often write you in social networks?
- Sure, everyone’s glad that I’ve returned. Their attention is a pleasure for me.

- Thank you! Once again I want to say that I’m happy to return to Dynamo! I hope we’ll win the domestic title this season.
