On April 26, FC Dynamo Kyiv played the fourth match of the charity tour «Match for Peace! Stop the War!» – against one of the German top sides Borussia Dortmund.
Players took the field wearing special shirts with the inscription «Stop the genocide in Mariupol» thus asking the international community to deal with atrocities russhists do in the city at the bank of Azov sea to civilians and soldiers, who’re still there.
A lot of people came to the Signal Iduna Park with many of them holding Ukrainian flags. The atmosphere at the stadium encouraged both sides to demonstrate spectacular football which they did. By the way, the kick-off was performed by Dynamo academy trainee Mykyta Semenov, who had to leave Ukraine because of russian aggression, just like thousands of other children.
Dynamo conceded in the third minute. Reus found Haaland with accurate pass, Erling passed to Bynoe-Gittens and the latter hit the corner – 1:0.
Still the White-Blues managed to equalize quite soon. Shaparenko approached the penalty area, didn’t manage to shoot, but Buialskyi obtained the ball and sent it into the upper V with a fabulous strike – 1:1.
In a few minutes Dynamo stepped in front. Buialskyi passed forward to Vanat, Vladyslav coped with defender and sent the ball past the keeper – 1:2.
Attacking football parade continued. Dortmund side could equalize after corner, but Bushchan parried their player’s header. Meanwhile Dovbyk won a penalty for Kyivans, but Shaparenko didn’t convert from the spot.
