Dynamo Kyiv striker Brown Ideye was in the starting line-up. Soon after the whistle Ideye set up Efe Ambrose whose shot was taken by Burkina goalkeeper.
After 10 minutes Brown tried to score from the penalty area but the ball went over the bar.
Right before the break Ideye stopped Burkina Faso counter attack and passed to Victor Moses. Chelsea FC forward’s shot was blocked but Sunday Mba netted the ball into the far corner!
In the second half Ideye had several opportunities. One of his best attempts was parried by Burkina Faso keeper.
In the extended time Brown was booked, but it did not matter at all as the Nigerians celebrated the 1-0 win! Brown Ideye becomes an AFCON winner!
All in all Brown Ideye took part in six games of the tournament, spent 356 minutes on the field, received one yellow card, scored one goal and assisted once.
