- Bobby, how can you estimate the last season?
- It was a failure for the team and personally for me. There were some splashes, but we didn’t demonstrate good quality of play consistently.
- Still the end of the season was a success, wasn’t it?
- It was. Victory in the Ukrainian Cup against such opponent as FC Shakhtar Donetsk was vital for us. Supporters had been waiting for such success for quite a long time and I’m glad that our triumph made them happier.
- Did you feel fans’ support throughout the season?
- We are very thankful to fans for support and faith. That’s very important.
- You won the national cup with the new head coach…
- It’s a new post for him, but Rebrov has always been spending a lot of time with players.
- What changed after Serhiy Rebrov’s appointment?
- The main change is atmosphere in the team. It has become more positive. Players have relaxed and it that has had a good impact upon results we demonstrate. It’s also important that Serhiy Rebrov communicates with performers in person.
- Unfortunately you won’t perform at the World Cup…
- This is football. Things happen. Still I want to wish success to players, who will feature for Nigeria. Our team can become a real surprise in Brazil.
- How are you going to spend your vacation?
- It was a difficult season, so I really need some rest. At first I’ll go to Nigeria with my family and after that – to Miami.
- We hope you’ll have a good vacation and return to Kyiv with a desire to achieve highest possible results in the new season!
