- Well, I didn’t know that. But my teammates wished me luch in South Africa. That’s a pleasant surprise for me.
- How do you feel being the AFCON winner?
- I’m very happy because this is my first important trophy. Thanks God for that!
- You made 6 appearances at the AFCON. Which of them was the best for you personally? Which of them did you enjoy the most?
- I enjoyed the game against Mali as I managed to score. Scoring in the competition like that means a lot to me.
- You mentioned you feel most comfortable playing with Emanuel Emenike...
- I used to play with him before so I know his abilities. I wish he could take the field in the final. But still we won and only this fact matters. It's very important for our country.
- You got the call-up to the national team right before the AFCON...
- All in all I'm glad to have participated in such competition. I worked hard in Kyiv and scored a lot so I deserved my right to present Nigeria in SAR.
- Did your wife support you in South Africa?
- She didn't manage to come as she's got a lot to do in Nigeria.
