Clubs’ representatives including FC Dynamo Kyiv associate director Serhiy Mokhnyk (pictured) have decided that this competition is to be held.
Number of participants – fourteen. One PFL team can become the 15th participant. This issue is to be discussed at the Premier League general meeting.
Format. At the first stage teams will be divided into three groups on the area basis. This stage will consist of three rounds. Two best sides of each group and two best teams that finish third will form group 1 and struggle for the title. Other six or seven participants will feature in consolation round.
Competition period: August 20 – November 26 2014 (first stage), March 11 – June 10 2015 (second stage).
