Brown Ideye: roller-coaster
In the first part of the season Dynamo striker scored 13 goals in Ukrainian Premier League. Some of his goals were decisive.
Brown also took part in the AFCON and won the trophy with Nigeria national team.
But being in South Africa Ideye missed two Dynamo’s training camps in Spain. That’s why at the moment he lacks understanding with teammates on the pitch.
In the last 3 Ukrainian Premier League games Brown didn’t manage to score. Never the less Ideye is the first team regular.
Despite some difficulties Ideye is optimistic and he always does his best on the pitch.
“Unfortunately I missed a lot of goal-scoring opportunities in the first half of the season. I’ll keep working hard to become the best forward of Ukrainian Premier League” – says Brown.
And it’s absolutely real to achieve such aim. Last season Ideye couldn’t score from September 28 till November 10. But after that he scored 5 in 3 games!
Serhiy Politylo: Odessa steersman
Serhiy Politylo is one of FC Chornomorets leaders. 24-year-old halfback has been playing for Odessa side since 2006. He has a strong kick and good speed.
2012/13 season is the best in his career. Usually Serhiy plays as central halfback but he’s also able to play as left winger. He has great mutual understanding with Cyrilo Kovalchuk.
Politylo is one of key players of Chornomorets.
Ukraine national team head coach Mykhailo Fomenko also spotted Chornomorets halfback, but still Politylo didn’t play against Moldova.
Oleh Blokhin and Andriy Bal know Politylo and Chornomorets in general rather well as they worked with this team from 2009 till 2010.
2012/13 season statistics
Brown Ideye has made 40 appearances (20 in Ukrainian Premier League, 1 in Ukrainian Cup, 11 in euro cups, 8 for Nigeria national team) and scored 19 goals (13 in Ukrainian Premier League, 4 in euro cups, 2 for Nigeria national team).
In general Ideye made 70 appearances for Dynamo (47 in Ukrainian Premier League, 2 in Ukrainian Cup, 21 in euro cups) and scored 31 goals (25 in Ukrainian Premier League, 6 in euro cups).
Serhiy Politylo made 22 appearances (20 in Ukrainian Premier League, 2 in Ukrainian Cup) and scored 3 goals (2 in Ukrainian Premier League, 1 in Ukraine Cup).
In general Politylo made 110 appearances for Chornomorets (60 in Ukrainian Premier League, 7 in Ukrainian Cup, 43 in Ukrainian First League) and scored 8 goals (3 in Ukrainian Premier League, 1 in Ukrainian Cup, 4 in Ukrainian First League).
Ideye-Politylo opposition history
Brown Ideye faced Serhiy Politylo on the pitch 3 times. Twice - in 2011/12 season and once in 2012/13 season.
Kyivans won all these games with totals score 7:2. Brown Ideye played for 254 minutes and scored twice.
Serhiy Politylo was the skipper of Chornomorets in two out of three games.
