On June 7, the Yellow-Blues played another friendly – against Cyprus.
The final score of the game is 4:0 for Andriy Shevchenko’s men.
Ukraine started aggressively and created quite a lot of chances, but couldn’t convert them into goals up to a certain time. Cyprus defense and goalkeeper played selflessly.
Still Ukrainians managed to score twice in the first half. After Cyprus defender committed desperate foul against Zubkov, referee awarded penalty and sent him off. Yarmolenko converted from the spot.
Later Ukraine won another penalty as Cyprus player handled the ball inside the box. Zinchenko made it 2:0.
After the break the Yellow-Blues kept this up. Marlos assisted Yaremchuk, who hit the open goal – 3:0. In a few minutes Yarmolenko attempted from outside the box and the ball crossed the goal line after rebound – 4:0.
