- I’m glad I’ve scored and we’ve won in Kharkiv. After the game there was positive atmosphere in the locker-room. We’ve done a good job, so victory is deserved. I believe it’s just the start of successful season.
- Can the goal against Shakhtar be called your style?
- This is not the first time I score like this. I’ve already scored a lot of goals with headers. Two seasons I’ve spent in England have improved my skill. I’ve gained significant experience and found out what English football is like. Now I’m back and I’ll try to demonstrate the best I can.
- While you were absent Lens, Veloso, Dragovic and Belhanda left. What do you think of Dynamo current lineup?
- We have a sole team and friendly atmosphere in Dynamo which is very important. There are good performers here, many of them are internationals. Talented youngsters have got more mature. Dynamo can set ambitious goals and reach them.
- Is it comfortable for you to work with Olexandr Khatskevych?
- Khatskevych is a nice open person. I like that he talks to players at training sessions. He can make a joke and laugh. I have common ground with him. So have other guys. If someone asked me to name three best coaches I’ve worked with, Olexandr Khatskevych would have been one of them.
- Don’t you think assistant coaches Oleh Luzhnyi and Maksim Shatskikh are strict?
- They are, but they’re strict not only with me, but with other players too. They’re strict only on the field. That’s the way it should be.
- What are your expectations of the home match against BSC Young Boys?
- The game will be difficult. They’ve come to win, but victory is the only satisfactory outcome for us too. We’ll play the first match at home, so we must achieve the kind of result that will make things easier for us in the second leg. I think we can go further. It’s all in our hands.
