After that Vitaliy Sivkov gave the player Dynamo shirt with squad number 25. “Play for Dynamo, demonstrate your best qualities and achieve success with our club. Gonzalez put the shirt on and eventually answered journalist’s questions.
- First of all I’d like to thank Dynamo president Ihor Surkis for placing confidence in me. Transfer to such club is a motivation for me. The team performs in the Champions League and I’ll try to equal all hopes.
- Featuring for Basel you played a friendly against Dynamo. Do you remember that game?
- Sure, that was in Marbella. I know that Brazilian and Portuguese players feature for Dynamo.
- Have you already talked to Serhiy Rebrov?
- Yesterday I talked to him and assistant coach Raul. Now I’m leaving for Switzerland and on Monday I’ll return to Kyiv with my family.
- You have thigh injury. When will you start training?
- Dynamo doctor has told me that after rehabilitation period, which will last a week, I’ll start jogging.
- You perform for Paraguay national team. How often will you have to leave Kyiv?
- Qualifiers will start in autumn. We’ll have two games in October and November. Usually clubs have a break when international matches take place, so I hope I won’t miss Dynamo games.
- Is possibility to perform in the Champions League the main factor that has made you move to Ukraine?
- It’s among other things. Dynamo are great club. The rest doesn’t matter.
- Why have you picked squad number 25?
- That’s the date of birth of my daughter Iliana.
- You are likely to perform on Lens’ position in Dynamo. How difficult will it be to replace him?
- I’ll do my best to become the first team regular. I’ll work hard for that and coaches will choose a position for me.
- Dynamo wingers work not only for attack, but also for defense. Are you ready for that?
- That was my position in Basel and defending isn’t a problem for me.
- Usually you played as right winger in Basel. Won’t it be a problem for you to perform on the left flank?
- I’ve already discussed that with the head coach. I can play on the left flank and in course of time coaches will find a perfect position for me.
- Are you right-hander of left-hander in everyday life?
- I’m right-hander.
- You scored three goals in the Champions League last season. Will that experience help you score for Dynamo in this competition?
- I scored against Real Madrid, Porto and Ludogorets. I hope I’ll gladden Dynamo fans with goals in the Champions League this season.
