Pape Diakhaté, who had been sidelined with an injury for three months, returned to Kyiv to join the team for training and for their second winter training session in Spain.
The Senegalese arrived in Kyiv earlier in January when Yuriy Semin was introduced to the players. He then traveled back to France for a two-week rehabilitation program in the town of Saint Raphaël.
Diakhaté, who picked up a repeat shoulder injury back in November, was forced to stay out of action until winter break. This kept him out of Ukrainian league games, African Nations Cup as well as Dynamo’s first training run Israel. He will now have to keep away from intensive practice, with doctors recommending the footballer to feature in a game no sooner mid-February.
