Pertinacity as characteristic
The majority of specialists consider midfield to be the key line in team building process. Today we’ll compare two midfielders representing Dynamo and Dnipro.
Serhiy Rybalka plays a very important role for Kyivans. Featuring as supporting midfielder he is a link between defense and attack.
Young halfback became almost irreplaceable of the White-Blues very quickly. He is both creative and uncompromising.
Dnipro midfielder Jaba Kankava is also tenacious. 29-year-old Georgian performer is really brave on the field.
Kankava looks as more classic supporting midfielder than Rybalka. The thing is that Dnipro use a bit different tactics. Myron Markevych prefers having two anchormen while Serhiy Rebrov – one.
Anyway if both Rybalka and Kankava take the field they’ll oppose each other. That battle will be of great importance.
Figures speak
Serhiy has made 20 appearances in the UPL this season (1645 minutes) with 18 of them in the starting lineup.
Rybalka scored one goal – against FC Zoria Luhansk. He was booked five times and sent off once.
Kankava took part in 14 UPL matches with 13 of them among first eleven. He got four bookings.
Rybalka played 11 Europa League games (each in the starting lineup, 946 minutes). He got one assist to his name and four yellow cards. Kankava made 10 appearances on European arena (9 among first eleven, 854 minutes), scored one goal and got six bookings.
