The White-Blues will face the 2. Bundesliga side Karlsruher SC in Fügen.
Though Karlsruher are not among the German football elite they own some significant trophies. They won the Bundesliga (1909), DFB-Pokal (twice) and Intertoto Cup (1996).
Last season the team finished fifth in the 2. Bundesliga.
Key performers of the club are defenders Philipp Klingmann and Jan Mauersberger, goalkeeper Dirk Orilshausen, midfielders Reinhold Yabo and Daniel Gordon.
The latter is Karlsruher main star. He is Borussia Dortmund trainee.
Another important player for the team is 24-year-old halfback Selçuk Alibaz.
KSC head coach is Markus Kauczinski, who took charge of the main squad in 2012.
On July 13 the White-Blues will try to gain revenge for the narrow defeat (0:1) they suffered against Karlsruher on June 23 2012.
