It was raining in Marbella all night long, so when the White-Blues came to the FootballCenter in the morning the pitch was really wet. During the long intense warm-up players did versatile speed exercises. After that not only our performers, but also the ball was moving back and forth around the field. Exercises aimed to improve possession skills, pressure and attacks finishing were quite exhausting.
After lunch players were reconditioning. By the way, at this training camp all performers have meals at the same table so that they didn’t forget they are a team. After lunch Kyivans had a nap.
On Friday Valeriy Fedorchuk rejoined the team and participated in all exercises. Some performers worked individually. Those were centre backs Mykyta Burda and Zurab Ochigava, who missed the game against FC Liefering, and Bohdan Mykhailychenko, who picked up an injury in that match. They’ve all had medical examination at Marbella clinic.
It has turned out Zurab Ochigava has slight ligament sprain. He’s supposed to rejoin the team on Saturday just like Mykyta Burda, who had ligament inflammation. As for Bohdan Mykhailychenko, he won’t get back to work with the team at this training camp as he’s got hip injury. It will take him seven-ten days to recover.
Afternoon training session was even more intense. After warm-up players were offered tactics exercises. One of them looked as follows: the team was divided into four groups two of which controlled the ball while two other tried to dispossess them.
Training day finished with running, so players had to demonstrate their stamina. Still even after that some performers decided to stay on the field and play at their leisure.
By the way, staying at the La Quinta hotel Serhiy Rebrov and one of assistant coaches (usually Vicente Gomez) go to the training center on foot while the team goes by bus. It’s a good opportunity to talk and analyze work.
On Saturday the White-Blues will have two training sessions while on Sunday and Monday Dynamo will play two sparrings. After that the team will return to Kyiv.
