As you know, the White-Blues came there on Friday.
On Saturday Kyivans had two sessions at the training center while on Sunday – one. In the morning they worked out at the gym.
All roads lead to Dubai
The temporary residence of our team in UAE is Bahi Ajman Palace hotel. Dubai, its suburbs and neighboring cities are being developed incredibly rapidly.
Meanwhile this hotel is located in quiet place on private beach. It has marvelous view on Persian Gulf, cozy rooms, swimming pool, gym, SPA etc. Still one can’t use all of these facilities these days due to quarantine restrictions.
Work at the gym is usually divided into two blocks – fitness machines and exercises on fitness rugs. That helps to recondition after intense sessions on the field.
The training center, where the White-Blues have their sessions, is located in Sharjah near Dubai.
Training oasis
Dynamo are training at the Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium. Habitually local citizens still call it Al-Shaab or Sharjah Sport Club. It’s located near Al Shaab Village complex that has a mall.
The stadium is a real oasis although it’s not in the desert. It has ideal turf, locker-rooms, modern lighting system and big stands. It’s really nice to work here while it’s so cold in Ukraine.
First test
On the fourth day of the training camp Dynamo will oppose really serious team – champions of Poland Legia Warsaw.
The day before the game Kyivans focused on tactics exercises including work with the ball, in groups, 11vs11, with goalkeepers and without them. According to Mircea Lucescu the team did a lot of defensive and attacking mistakes in the first part of the season, so they need to work on that.
By the way, Dynamo have never defeated Legia at training camps which can be additional motivation for them. Still the final score isn’t a top priority in such games.
What do they like more in Emirates – rugby, football or concerts?
So, the game will take place at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai. This is a multifunctional arena built in 2008. They often have rugby matches here. Actually that’s what it was meant for at first. Still it can host other sports too – football, net-ball, basketball, cricket, tennis, athletics. Many famous pop stars have their concerts here.
