Dynamo players get international call

A number of Dynamo players have been called up to their national team squads for the forthcoming international friendlies and 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

Oleksandr Shovkovskyy, Stanislav Bogush, Vitaliy Mandzyuk, Andriy Yarmolenko, Oleh Husyev, Artem Milevskyy and Dynamo’s recent signing Andriy Shevchenko are all in the Ukraine squad for their World Cup qualifying matches against Andorra (5 September) and Belarus (9 September).

Dynamo midfield player Ognjen Vukojević is expected to feature for Croatia in their qualifiers with Belarus and England. The results of these matches are of great importance for our national team.

Dynamo midfield player Tiberiu Ghioane has been called up to the Romania squad that goes head-to-head with France at Stade de France this weekend and then face Austria at home. His team-partner Miloš Ninković is also ready to meet French national team on 9 September. Unlike Romania, Serbia have a good chance to qualify and visit South Africa next summer.

Dynamo’s Roman Eremenko hopes to be part of his nation's squad as Finland travel to Azerbaijan on Saturday and Liechtenstein next Wednesday.

Having failed to progress to the final stage of the Word Cup tournament, Senegal have to make do with friendly matches. Dynamo full-back Pape Diakhaté is hoping to help his national team in the matches against Angola and China.

Meanwhie, six Dynamo youngsters have been included in the Ukraine U-21 squad for U-21 Euro-2011 qualifier against France. Dynamo goalkeeper Artem Kychak, defenders Vadym Rodina, Andriy Sakhnevych, midfielders Kyrylo Petrov, Denys Harmash and forward Roman Zozulya have all been named in Pavlo Yakovenko’s 23-man selection for the match, which is to take place in Gueugnon on 8 September.
