A number of Dynamo players represented their countries on Saturday as World Cup qualifying matches took place across Europe.
As you know, Ukraine gained a convincing 5-0 victory over Andorra on Saturday with Dynamo's Andriy Shevchenko, Artem Milevskyy, Andriy Yarmolenko, Vitaliy Mandzyuk and Oleh Husyev all included in the starting lineup. There were three more Dynamo players on international duty this weekend.
Croatian midfielder Ognjen Vukojević played 90 minutes as his national team defeated Belarus 1-0 and earned three important points. Dmytro Verkhovtsov's own goal gave Croatia the win.
Tiberiu Ghioane played the full match for Romania as they drew 1-1 with France at the Stade de France in Paris. Now it’s Miloš Ninković’s turn as his country meets French national team on 9 September. Unlike Romania, Serbia have a good chance to qualify and visit South Africa next summer.
Meanwhile, another Dynamo player to feature in last night's World Cup qualifiers was Roman Eremenko. The 22-year-old half-back and his brother Oleksiy were part of the Finland squad which gained 2-1 victory over Azerbaijan on Saturday night.
The next set of games will take place on Wednesday 9 September.
