Dynamo - Porto - 1:2. Match report

FC Porto overcame Dynamo Kyiv by a narrow 1-2 margin, with midfielder Lucho González putting his team into the lead with a late goal. The hosts took the lead after they had opened the scoring through Artem Milevskyy in the 21st minute. Tiberiu Ghioane’s pass found Milevskyy who directed the ball past Porto’s keeper Helton. Despite the setback, however, the visitors continued to fight and threaten with dangerous attacks.

Midway through the second half the Portuguese defender Rolando headed a fine cross from Raul Meireles past Bogush and equalised the score. In the final minutes of the match Ognjen Vukojević came close to taking three points for the Kyivers as his shot came back off the post, and instead it was the Porto side who managed to net the second. With probably the final attack of the game, Jesualdo Ferreira’s men conjured up a winning goal through midfielder Lucho to seal a vital victory.

On 25 November Dynamo will face group leaders FC Arsenal in London. FC Porto will play with Fenerbahçe in the other Group G fixture.
