Dynamo - PSG - 3:0. The White-Blues secure semi-final place

Dynamo Kyiv set up a semi-final meeting with Ukrainian arch-rivals FC Shakhtar Donetsk by gaining a 3-0 second leg victory over Paris Saint-Germain FC in their UEFA Cup quarter-final in Kyiv.

Without the injured Pape Diakhaté and Taras Mykhalyk, Dynamo coach Yuriy Semin fielded Goran Sablić and Ayila Yussuf in the centre of defence and started with two forwards, lining up Ismaël Bangoura to play up front alongside strike partner Artem Milevskyy.

The match began at a high tempo and with just four minutes on the clock the Guinean striker put Dynamo ahead after collecting Artem Milevskyy's pass and firing past PSG goalkeeper into the corner. The second goal came eleven minutes later following Mickaël Landreau's mistake. Oleksandr Aliyev's cross was headed high by Ceará and the visitors' keeper, trying to punch clear, misdirected the shot to his own net.

The hosts continued to press forward and twice went close to adding a third, with Milevskyy shooting wide and Aliyev having a shot turned around the upright by Landreau. PSG, meanwhile, started the second brightly, Guillaume Hoarau heading Sylvain Armand's cross over and Stephane Sessegnon driving a shot wide from 10 yards. Needing goals, Le Guen introduced Jérôme Rothen at half-time, who went close within a couple of minutes of the restart.

Just after the hour mark, Olexandr Aliyev fired in another long-range free-kick which was parried by Mickaël Landreau. But the ball fell at the feet of Ognjen Vukojević who easily tapped home into the bottom corner of the net.

Thus, Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk will meet on 30 April and 7 May to contest a place in the UEFA Cup final.
