Dynamo Kyiv cruised to a 5-1 victory over Volyn Lutsk on Sunday in their last home game of the season.
With the Championship already decided, Dynamo coach opted to rest some of his first-choice players. Maksym Koval took place in goal, Danilo Silva-Betao-Khacheridi-El Kaddouri made up a defensive line, Zozulya and Yarmolenko filled the flanks, Eremenko and Aliyev occupied central midfield roles while Kravets partnered Milevskyy up front.
The two strikers exceeded their coach’s expectations by scoring braces in the first half. And even though the hosts were 4-0 up at the interval, they didn’t stop their threat and scored fifth goal on 59 minutes through Oleksandr Aliyev. Volyn, however, got one consolation goal when Herasymyuk’s shot rebound off the post, hit the goalkeeper’s back and then crossed the goalline.
The White-Blues will now start preparations for the concluding match of the Ukrainian Premier League against FC Illichivets Mariupol away on May 21.
