- Ukrainian defenders had a lot of work as you faced Macedonia. Did you expect that?
- We really had a lot of work as 15-20 minutes before the time Macedonia started using a lot of crosses into our box. They took many corners and free kicks. They have tall performers, who created chances. As for the rest of the match, Macedonians had only one good opportunity to score in the first half, when Piatov saved our team.
- Nervous strain was felt throughout the whole game. Were there any conflicts on the pitch?
- No, there were no conflicts. Of course we were nervous as the score was 1:0. Three points were vital for us. There was no retreat.
- Did you have a serious talk with the head coach during the break?
- He just told us not to argue with referee, to play carefully and to stay focused.
- Do you have any negative impressions of two last matches?
- It’s a pity that we lost against Slovakia. We had to win two following games and we’ve done that. We’ll try to keep earning points.
- Do our performers have claims to their own play?
- We were a bit lucky to defeat Belarus, but as for the game against Macedonia – we controlled it.
