MAKARENKO and HARMASH: individual training schedule

They’ve spent a week in a special rehabilitation center in Barcelona and now this process is on.

On Monday they had two training sessions, as the rest of the team. In the morning they worked in the gym and in the afternoon – on the pitch.

Even though Denys and Yevhen train together their individual rehabilitation plans are different.

Harmash has almost finished reconditioning. At the evening training session he even worked with the ball.

As for Yevhen Makarenko, he keeps doing special exercises to be ready to run.

Both players followed the main group training session with interest. No matter what Denys and Yevhen are in fine fettle.

Makarenko and Harmash work under the charge of recreation specialist Volodymyr Yarmoshuk, who’s told about rehabilitation of each of them:

- The rehabilitation of Denys Harmash is almost over. We already work with the ball on the pitch. Yevhen Makarenko is recovering after surgery. Still his muscle mass is already fine.

- What kind of exercisers does Yevhen use?

- He uses different exercisers for legs, fitness cycle, elliptical trainer. We also do a lot of exercises without body-builders. One training session lasts 2-2,5 hours.

- Does Denys have any restrictions?

- There’s one restriction – he must increase exercise load constantly.

- What does work on the pitch look like?

- Yevhen does walking exercises. He must learn how to walk correctly as he had serious heelstring injury. Soon he’ll start jogging.

Denys works on stamina and speed.
