Before this match Desna were six points behind Kyivans in the league table. This was the fourth face-to-face duel for these two sides this season and Dynamo won only one out of previous three.
In this match the score was opened four minutes after the starting whistle. Tsyhankov used Desna defenders’ mistake after cross by Buialskyi and put Dynamo in front.
In the 12th minute Kuzyk found Kartushov with a decent pass and Desna halfback hit the target at the second attempt in one-on-one situation.
Chernihiv side looked determined to deprive Dynamo of points again and had some more dangerous attacks in the first half. Kuzyk also had an opportunity in in one-on-one situation, but missed.
Later his strike parried by Bushchan resulted in another goal. After cross from the corner flag and touch by Dynamo newcomer Ibrahim Kargbo the score became 2:1.
Late in the first half Desna had a chance to upset Dynamo again. Favorov could score after another corner, but Karavayev was the first to reach the ball.
Right after the break de Pena substituted Kargbo. Soon Carlos took a free kick and unleashed decent strike, but Past parried it.
Halfway through the second half Serhiy Sydorchuk, who’s recovered after injury, made a substitute appearance. Mikkel Duelund also took the field.
Dynamo were mostly attacking, but actually had few real scoring opportunities. Meanwhile Bushchan saved our team again after Kuzyk eluded Kadiri and attempted from inside the box.
Late in the game Dynamo rushed forward and managed to equalize. Tsyhankov got a brace to his name by sending the ball into the net with spectacular backheel after cross from de Pena.
Still the home side grabbed the winner in a stoppage time. Arvedadze took a corner and Hitchenko headed the ball in.
So, it’s 3:2. Dynamo lose in Chernihiv.
