Israel is no strange land for the White-Blues, Eilat becoming the third training venue in the countyr to host the team. Back under Lobanovskyy, Dynamo stayed in Caesarea to move on later to Herzliya, located just north of Tel Aviv. With the two previous Mediterranean destinations, it is now probably time to go for the marvelous Red Sea spot bordering on Egypt and Jordan.
The plane carrying players, coaching staff and service personnel touched down at Ovda military runway as Eilat airport handles only domestic flights. A short trip took the delegation to the hotel and in the evening players could practice on the pitch.
Footballers have seven days of practicing ahead of them, with the first warm up game scheduled for Jan 19 vs. Levski Sofia. Bulgarians are also doing their mid-season training in Eilat.
