As Guinea drew 1-1 with Morocco and Ghana beat Morocco 2-0 in their last group A African Nations Cup matches, Guineans along with Ghana head their way to the final. The hosts finished top of the group, with Guinea legging behind with just four points.
Dynamo Badr El Kaddouri played 90 minutes for Morocco to be substituted in the injury time.
His club teammate Ismaël Bangoura played from whistle to whistle, this time around without pulling a goal, in the game vs. the group’s underdog Namibia. Guineans are now to face the group B winner in their third consecutive quarter-final at the continent’s flagship tournament.
