Goaless finish in Portugal

With having little to offer in Lisbon in order to be able to pick up any point of honor, Dynamo ended their this year’s UEFA Champions League campaign with the away defeat, exactly the way they started it.

The White-Blues yielded some patchy combinations and attacks, but those were some occasional moments. The hosts bossed the game and pulled off a well-deserved 3-0 victory. The opener came on 35 minutes from Polga after Nesmachnyy knocked down Liedson in the box.

In the opening minutes of the second half, Rebrov blew his chance from a good position after receiving a cross from Shatskikh. Izmailov’s solo passing, on to Moutinho. The midfielder netted in a 15-meter goal. Although later on Purović failed to hit the target, Liedson scored the third for his squad. The Brazilian was good after the 1v1 battle, although at the cost of his health.

…The winter break is ahead, with, hopefully, positive changes also on their way.
