After romping to victory in Simferopol, József Szabó’s men made their way to the Ukrainian Cup quarter-final.
Things seemed to have been settled for the Ukraine’s reigning champions as early as on 14 minutes, with goals coming from Shatskikh, Corrêa and Bangoura. Leading 3-0, the visiting team did not bother to expend any considerable effort. Then followed a string of defensive mistakes, but Martynov and Bobal lacked accuracy in their one-on-one situations with Rybka.
In the break time, the head coach made some changes by pairing Ghioane with Diakhaté and placing the young Harmash in the center. This, however, did not rectify the defense errors. One of them resulted in a conceded goal. After receiving a cross from the flank, the hosts’ captain Martynov, who was better in the aerial fight than Ghioane, put the ball into the net.
The game dragged on, and only in the last 15 minutes there was some active performance, especially from Ruslan Rotan, whose two shots were saved by the keeper. Only his third effort found unmarked Ghioane who had no difficulty scoring the fourth goal for Dynamo.
