Ihor SURKIS: “Blokhin doesn’t deserve such attitude”

- What are your expectations of the future game against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk?

- I think we are on the right way. Dnipro are a very good team. But we are to prove that we are stronger than our opponents and to secure the Champions League spot. I hope spectators will see a very interesting game and Dynamo will win.

- Oleh Blokhin has stated that he doesn’t know what kind of a player Lucas Perez is. How can you comment upon this statement?

- First of all one should ask Lucas why Blokhin doesn’t know him. He had some tasks as a professional player. But if he is sure we invited him to save our team – he is wrong. We need players who can really enforce Dynamo.

- What do you think of the UEFA decision to make Dynamo play one euro cup game without spectators?

- UEFA representatives pay very much attention to different racist and fascist manifestations. Such fans are our problem.

Of course we’ll appeal this decision. But it has turned out that those fans have punished themselves and thousands of other supporters.

Of course we are also responsible for that. Maybe the NSC Olimpiyskyi security should be more attentive.

- How can one fight such tricks?

- I think the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should adopt the law about criminal responsibility for such actions. That can make people think whether they should continue behaving that way. I don’t think that the punishment is completely unfair. But actually 60 thousand people won’t be able to watch the game at the stadium because of 10 fans.

- Could you please comment upon Oleh Blokhin’s refusal to give interview after the game against Zorya in Luhansk?

- I didn’t prohibit him to communicate with representatives of that TV-channel. But he can make decisions on his own. I respect the profession of journalist. But, for example, when Oleh Blokhin was burying his father he was accused of dishonesty for the request to play the UPL game the same day as our main opponents did. That journalist even didn’t apologize. One can attack me in such a way, but Blokhin is a person who’s done a lot for Ukrainian football. He doesn’t deserve such attitude.

If the Football Federation of Ukraine Control and Disciplinary Committee representatives need Blokhin’s written explanatory report as for refusal to give interview – they’ll have it.

I completely agree with Khacheridi’s punishment. But at the same time Papa Gueye got only a yellow card in the episode when he almost broke his opponent’s leg. I’m not trying to justify Khacheridi, but I think every man would have responded to what Burdujan told him in such a manner. I know that there are affluent people who decide how many games will this or that players miss.

At the moment several teams struggle for the second place. But they must be in equal conditions. I hope Shakhatar Donetsk will show their best as they face Metalist Kharkiv. I want to see fair play in Ukrainian Premier League.

I know a lot about different phenomena which exist in our football. Let people who were talking about some conflict of objectives in the FFU open their eyes and see whether the situation has changed for better. Maybe I’ll tell the truth one day. Dynamo always play fair. I’m not even sure whether we’ll finish second this season. Unfortunately we create too many conflicts. Instead of that we could unite behind Ukraine national team, for example. I think we should be more tolerant to each other.
