- Valeriy Lobanovskyi has left a great trace in my life. There are veterans in this hall, who won the USSR league in 1961. At that time it was really difficult to challenge Moscow. Thus he laid foundation of Ukrainian independence.
Valeriy Lobanovskyi took charge of FC Dynamo Kyiv in 1974. He won the USSR league eight times and the USSR Cup many times. He formed three great teams: 1975-76, 1985-86 and 1998-99. He didn’t win the Champions League, but that team was outstanding. Let’s remember and honor this man.
