Of course the grand question during winter break is transfers issue. Still it’s not all that simple.
- It’s not easy to sign a high profile foreigner considering current situation, - stated Ihor Surkis. – People think about their safety first of all. Players are young, they consult with their families, care about their future. That’s why one shouldn’t expect outstanding transfers from Dynamo this year.
- What about foreign players Dynamo already have?
- We have no problems with them at all! I asked them to explain everyone that one can live normally and play football here. Our foreign performers don’t want to leave.
If they get worthy transfer offers we’ll discuss them, but I’m talking about such clubs as Manchester United, for example.
- Juventus are interested in Belhanda…
- That’s just rumors! I haven’t got official offer from Juventus. My first team performers won’t play on loan!
- What’s your attitude to potential reducing of the number of Ukrainian Premier League participants?
- Personally I think that three must be 16 teams in the UPL. If we keep reducing this number we must think of new competition format including four rounds.
- What do you think of everything that’s going on in the Football Federation of Ukraine today? Who’s the best contestant for presidency today in your opinion?
- Frankly speaking, I don’t care what’s going on in the Football Federation of Ukraine. I knew things would end up this way. It’s difficult for me to discuss that as my brother used to be in charge of this organization. Still they made the person, who did for Ukrainian football more than everyone else, leave forcefully.
We must find a worthy candidate, who will get rid of scheming. Still I don’t care who’ll win. By the way, no one even invited FC Dynamo Kyiv to congress even though we give the national team more players than any other club and grant our infrastructure. What else can I say?
