Croatian fans let Vida and his teammates down as they face Italy

11 minutes into the game Candreva opened the score, but four minutes later Perišić netted the equalizer.

After that the game was stopped as a lot of flares were thrown on the pitch by Croatian fans. The second episode of the kind took place 73 minutes into the match. According to FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Domagoj Vida, who was among the Blazers’ first eleven, that didn’t let the team earn three points.

- We played better than Italy and could win but for the pause in the game. It was more a hindrance than help from fans, - said Vida after the game.
