Let’s have a closer look at key players of the forthcoming game.
Tremoulinas: to feel the electric air of Donbas Arena.
As Taye Taiwo left Kyiv, Dynamo started looking for the new left back. Luckily Kyivans signed Benoit Tremoulinas.
27-year-old French defender made his debut for the White-Blues as Kyivans faced FC Sevastopol. Benoit was very active, playing both for defense and attack, besides he’s got assist to his name. Tremoulinas also put several good crosses into the box.
After such great debut Tremoulinas was enlisted to different UPL matchday 3 all-star teams.
Now let’s pay attention to the White-Blues forthcoming game against Shakhtar. It will be the first Ukrainian derby for Benoit and for other Dynamo newcomers. Never the less Tremoulinas is a very experienced player, which must help him to feel the electric air of Donbas Arena and to demonstrate his best qualities. His opponent on the flank Dario Srna also wasn’t born yesterday and Benoit must be ready to face him.
Srna: charismatic defender
Dario Srna is longstanding Shakhtar and Croatia national team skipper. He has already won many trophies with Donetsk side.
Srna is a right back, but due to good speed he also plays for attack very actively. Last season he scored 5 goals and assisted his teammates 15 times! He usually takes free kicks and corners.
Dario is an idol for Shakhtar young players. Still sometimes his behavior is too emotional and not gentlemanlike.
2013/14 statistics

Benoit Tremoulinas:
“I think that Ukrainian League is rather tough and all teams are in good physical conditions. I’ve got used to play both for defense and for attack”.
Dario Srna:
“In Shakhtar I play as right back and in Croatia national team – as halfback. I think we have good balance between attack and defense”.
