On Sunday, February 26, FC Dynamo Kyiv played their last, 14th, friendly at the winter training camp in Turkey – against the reigning champions of Latvia Valmiera FC.
The first half was goalless but had a number of scorning chances for both sides. Dynamo actually hit the target in the 5th minute, but Vanat was flagged offside in that episode.
Valmiera responded in the 16th minute as Zhelizko took a free decently, but missed a bit.
Buialskyi hit the crossbar before the break spectacularly from inside the penalty area trying with a chip.
After the break it was Valmiera turn to hit the woodwork as Gueye reached the ball faster than Diachuk.
Dynamo took the lead in the 54th minute. Dubinchak crossed from the left side and Buialskyi succeeded with a sliding strike. Still Valmiera equalized in a couple of minutes. Gueye hit the target accurately from the box line.
Kyivans’ keeper Morhun had some work to do afterwards as he parried the shots by Zhelizko, Kairmani and Diop.
Later Buialskyi eluded his opponent in front of the penalty area and aimed at the upper V, but missed.
So, Dynamo finish the training camp with a draw – 1:1. On March 4, they’ll start the second part of the UPL season with the game against FC Inhulets Petrove.
