FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Kristian Bilovar has told how he’s feeling after suffering an injury:
- How’re you feeling, Kristian?
- Much better already. Yesterday I had a bad headache. I’m not in my best shape, but I hope I’ll be fine soon.
- Do you remember what happened in the episode when you got injured?
- The last thing I remember in that there was a cross from the wing and I headed the ball. Then I woke up and tried to push Heorhiy Bushchan away as I didn’t understand what happened. I told him: “Let me go, I can play”. But in a few minutes I realized what was going on and thanked him for holding me as I wanted to rush to the field.
- You’ve been diagnosed with concussion. How long does it take to recover from that?
- Beside the concussion I’ve got a pretty bad wound that has been stitched. Usually the recovery lasts 10-14 days. When you get such injuries, you start thinking of important things. Injuries we suffer on the field are nothing compared to the injuries of warriors on the battlefield. Their lives are at stake.
- Having suffered the injury you were watching the game until doctors took you to the hospital. Yesterday you were the match and today you came to the training session. Are you so willing to come back to the field?
- I just can’t sit doing nothing. Yesterday I told our doctor I wouldn’t sit in my room as I wanted to watch the game. He asked me to inform him if I feel bad, but I assured him I would be fine. It’s very important to me to be with the team.
- How did teammates support you?
- I’m very grateful to the team. Everyone texted me when I was at the hospital. Denys Popov I share the room with probably stayed up all night. This means we have a good atmosphere in the team.
- The training camp is gradually approaching its end. How’s the team doing?
- I don’t think we’ve reached our best shape as we’ve just finished the first part of the training camp. The same goes for game aspects. In every match we practice different combinations, use different lineups, players perform in different positions. I guess estimations should be made as the training camp ends.
- What would you like to tell fans, who follow your friendlies at the training camp?
- I want to ask then to be patient. One should understand that during pre-season period we do really hard work. It’s difficult to be 100% ready in friendlies. But as for the league, we have no right to ask for time and patience. I also want to wish everyone good health, peace and safety.
