Kryvbas - Dynamo - 2:1. Match report

FC Dynamo Kyiv's five-month unbeaten league run came to an end Sunday afternoon as they lost 2-1 to FC Kryvbas on away soil.

Having won Thursday’s UEFA Cup decider against Paris Saint-Germain FC, the Kyivers entered the league game against Kryvbas in a good mood. But it was probably tiredness that led them to make mistakes.

The league's first-placed side went in front on 28 minutes when midfielder Tiberiu Ghioane drove the ball home. But the hosts responded soon after when first Serhiy Motuz netted the equaliser in the 34th minute and then Serhiy Karpenko stroke the winner four minutes before the interval.

After the break Ghioane, Milevskyy and Betao went close to scoring, and substitute Andriy Yarmolenko missed at least three presentable opportunities. With time running out Dynamo, Yuriy Semin introduced debutant Guilherme, who created several great chances as well, but the scoreline did not change.

Despite the outcome of the match, Dynamo remain first in the table, twelve points clear of second-placed FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
