Dynamo: to break cup misfortune of last years
On September 22 Kyivans defeated FC Karpaty Lviv within the UPL matchday 10. The White-Blues head coach Oleh Blokhin has stated: “Failures create psychological pressure. We are to play four games in ten days, so we must work and move on”.
Dynamo have a tight schedule. Thus reserve players play a very important role. The game against Karpaty has proved that Kyivans have no problems with that. Makarenko and Sydorchuk have demonstrated confident play.
Dynamo have already won the Ukrainian Cup nine times throughout their history. Last time it happened in 2007.
Metalurh: fight on two fronts though in could be three…
Last season FC Metalurh Donetsk suffered defeat against FC Chornomorets Odesa within the Ukrainian Cup round of 32. In 2010 and in 2012 they reached the final of this competition.
At the moment the head coach of Donetsk side is Russian specialist Sergei Tashuyev.
This season Metalurh didn’t manage to outplay FK Kukësi within the Europa League. They are 7th in UPL tournament bracket. Unlike Dynamo Tashuev’s men suffered defeat against FC Sevastopol within matchday 10. Mykola Moroziuk was sent off in that game, but still he can take the field against Dynamo within the Ukrainian Cup.

First time these two sides faced each other within the Ukrainian Cup round of 32 in 1996-1997 season. Kyivans won the game on penalties.
