Both sides approached the game with significant lineup issues. Mircea Lucescu couldn’t count on more than ten first team performers. As for visitors, Pique, Busquets and Sergi Roberto were injured. Besides, Ronald Koeman didn’t take Messi and de Jong to Kyiv.

Barcelona took the ball under control at once, but the White-Blues defended quite orderly. Moreover, Kyivans were the first to create a scoring opportunity.

Barcelona were increasing the pressure. Coutinho attempted dangerously, but missed, Braithwaite fell inside the box, but referee didn’t award penalty. Right before the break Dynamo had another chance, but ter Stegen parried the shot by de Pena.

Early in the second half Mircea Lucescu’s men also had several dangerous attacks, but failed to convert them into goal.

In the 52nd minute the White-Blues conceded. Dest joined the attack of his team and sent the ball past Bushchan. Later Barcelona increased the lead, when Braithwaite hit the target after corner.

Dynamo didn’t give up, but visitors used another chance. Popov fouled against Braithwaite inside the box, referee awarded penalty and Martin converted from the spot.

Kyivans eventually scored, but referee cancelled the goal fairly due to the foul by Verbic, who was also offside. The final goal of the game was scored by Griezmann in a stoppage time.
